All of your listed superfoods are in the traditional Mediterranean diet. Please note that variety is important. The benefits of a healthy diet reflect synergy among the various foods rather than just 5-10 individual components.

Cold-water fatty fish should be on any list of healthy superfoods: trout, salmon, sardines, herring, halibut, swordfish, etc. These fish, at two servings a week, apparently help prevent cardiovascular disease and dementia.

For help with a Mediterranean diet, see Oldways Preservation and Exchange Trust, or here:

I think what you tried to do is list one food from every category. I don't think you meant to say there are only 8 superfoods, or shortchange cherries, cranberries, and a host of other great for you foods. In my ebook, High Energy Eating, I list over 100 great foods that will keep you thin, healthy and full of energy.

There's a ton of great tasting food that's great for you. I don't want people to think they are limited to just a few that they might not like.

That banana blueberry bread sure would hit the spot about now. That looked really good ;-)
