Though there is no legal or medical definition, superfoods are nutrient powerhouses that pack large doses of antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals. Eating them may reduce the risk of chronic disease, and prolong life, and people who eat more of them are healthier and thinner than those who don’t. Read about several foods that are considered super, what health benefits they offer, and how to fit them into your diet. View the slideshow.

I think what you tried to do is list one food from every category. I don’t think you meant to say there are only 8 superfoods, or shortchange cherries, cranberries, and a host of other great for you foods. In my ebook, High Energy Eating, I list over 100 great foods that will keep you thin, healthy and full of energy.
There’s a ton of great tasting food that’s great for you. I don’t want people to think they are limited to just a few that they might not like.
That banana blueberry bread sure would hit the spot about now. That looked really good ;-)
All of your listed superfoods are in the traditional Mediterranean diet. Please note that variety is important. The benefits of a healthy diet reflect synergy among the various foods rather than just 5-10 individual components.
Cold-water fatty fish should be on any list of healthy superfoods: trout, salmon, sardines, herring, halibut, swordfish, etc. These fish, at two servings a week, apparently help prevent cardiovascular disease and dementia.
