I recently cut down on the "liquid calories" but haven't had the chance to test out on the holiday party circuit. When I was in a group that didn't think it was cool to NOT get drunk, I used to hold a tumbler of beer half full all night. Every now and then, I'd take a sip (to keep up the chirade). I got to keep my head and save face with my friends. The strong drink alternative looks like an adult alternative to the same trick.

Eat before you attend your Christmas party.
Not only will this assist with the alcohol factor but will also help prevent you from behaving like a starving, ravenous maniac trying to chew off the hand of the person serving you the cheesy, deep fried snacks.
