People who took them lost an extra 9 pounds over four months. Experts say eating fiber-rich foods each day can work similar magic. A few to try:

I am not a big fan of supplements, but the PGX fiber supplement is a good option for people eating low-carb who need to keep the pipes clean.

Dr. Oz backs this too. My best friend watches Oprah all the time and clued me in on this. Dr. Oz recommends you take the full tablespoon before your biggest meal. I personally do it in the morning before I drink a slim-fast. I like it best that way.

If you are serious about losing weight, Slim-fast really can help. It is great if you are on-the-go in the morning. If you’re not, and you have time to eat breakfast, frontload your day! Eating lots of protein and fiber in the mornings (I like eating a couple of eggs and a package of fruit and cream oatmeal in the mornings, plus a yogurt/bagel/etc). This will help you stay fuller longer so you won’t feel miserable and hungry throughout the day. In addition, I love to snack on yogurt and/or granola bars. Eating several times throughout the day (every 2-3 hours if you can, even something small) will help keep your metabolism running high!
Back to the Slim-fast, like I said, its great if you are on the go. It also makes a great snack or tide-me-over between lunch and dinner, especially if you have a big gap between the two. Again, front-load your day, eat a medium lunch and a light dinner. If youre going to have something calorie or fat-filled, try to do it early.
As for exercise, Cardio is great for losing weight, but if you want to keep it off, you have to weight train and build muscle. You burn more calories while resting when you have more muscle mass. Be sure to get enough sleep and exercise regularly, atleast a 30 minute walk at a brisk pace.

I don’t think slimfast works. What really works is finally saying to yourself, I am tired of this! I want to be thin! I am going to make it happen! Then take it one day at a time. Cut calories majorly. Take your weight and times it times twelve that is how many calories you can eat and still lose weight. But you MUST exercise at least 1 hour a day and get in some good cardio 5 to 6 days a week. Tune to the FIT TV channel and watch Gilad’s bodies in motion & Cardio blast. If you have a treadmill pound out at least 3 miles a day. I was 170 lbs. Now I am 134 lbs. I am still going fr my goal of 115 lbs. I have only been doing this for 3 months. It works! Diets fail. This has to be a life change. I made my own meal plan and here I am. Skinnier and happier. I no longer cry because I feel so miserable with myself. Its great!
