Does anyone have any advice on how I can deal with a rail thin husband (eats & drinks anything he wants without gaining an ounce)who sabotages my diet. He won't eat something unless I share it with him. What gives here?? I explained over and over, but no support? I could scream!!!

it's not surprising that people would eat more on the weekends.

The weekend (hopefully) is a time for relaxation and decompression after a tough week at the office.

As well, the fact that you have been liberated from the routine of the work-week gives you a heck of a lot more unstructured, free time.

So, combine an attitude of "thank God I don't have to go to work today, with a drastic increase in free time and people are bound to relax almost all of their restrictive behaviors.

I am surprised that that only resulted in a 200 calorie difference between workweek and weekend.

200 calories is only 1/3 of a Big Mac
http://healthhabits.wordpress.com/2008/06/12/a-moment-on-the-lips-60-minutes-on-the-treadmill-part-1/

To burn off 200 calories, you would need to :

Walk for 30 minutes at a pace of 1 mile per 20 minutes, or

Do 41 minutes of laundry, or

Perform Yoga for 132 minutes, or

Play tennis for 25 minutes, or

Clean the house for 43 minutes, or

Jog for 20 minutes, or

Play golf for 30 minutes - no golf cart - you have to walk, or

Have sex for 38 minutes

Come on people, it's the weekend. Find a spare 38 minutes and burn of those calories.

You can also try implementing some calorie sparing dietary changes - http://healthhabits.wordpress.com/2008/06/04/5-steps-to-a-healthy-fat-melting-meal-plan/

Your article is really good. If we know how much calories we are a day, that itself will keep us fit.

You can find out how many calories are present in different vegetables and fruits at the below links
