I also have to disagree with the dietician’s assessment. I am not a professional body builder, and have been following the program for three weeks. I have seen significant changes in my body already. The diet is not all that restrictive, there are a lot of great foods allowed. Its challenging but worth it!

I whole heartedly disagree with the dietician in this case. The regimen is restrictive but has several good qualities. First the idea of eating 6 small meals a day instead of three bigger meals allows you to regulate your glucose and therefore your hunger. Secondly, because of the free day you really only need to stick with the diet absolutely for six days. I find that this makes my cravings easier as I know that one day a week I can cut loose.
The exercise regimen is intense but it is effort intense not time intense. The upper body workout is the longest workout and only takes 46 minutes. The other workouts vary from 20 to 40 minutes with one day off.
I agree that the cardio is a little light but you can always do the intense exercise Bill Phillips recommends for 20 minutes and then do 10 to 20 more of more moderate cardio.
I have done the program and over two of the body for life regimens (24 weeks) was able to loove 40 pounds and have kept it off for over a year. For those dieters that like guidelines that are easy to follow and are willing to exercise, I think body for life works well.
